Designed for the Global Game Jam 2018, Channel is an experimental nonlinear interactive narrative surrounding themes of queerness, surveillance, AI, and collective memory.
The first prototype for Channel—ambitiously scoped as a VR project developed in Unity, using a custom NLP chatbot—was created by Natalie Mesnard, Patrick Watson, Jeff Arn, Marco Cavallo, Ravi Tejwani, Jenny Goldstick, and Owen Roberts. In its current incarnation, Channel is currently funded by the Rutgers-Cameden Digital Studies Center, through a fellowship appointment awarded to Natalie Mesnard for the 2018-19 academic year. Natalie, Patrick, and Jeff remain on the Channel team.
